Wingmen SEO Bookmarklet

Our "SEO Bookmarklet" is a client-side application for rapid on-page analysis directly within your browser. The protection of your data is central to its design architecture:

Local Execution: The script runs exclusively locally within your browser context. All analyses (e.g., reading meta tags, word counting, or link auditing) are performed in real-time in your device's memory (client-side). No data is persistently stored or uploaded to our servers.

No Data Transmission: The Bookmarklet does not transmit any personal data, page content, or analysis results to Wingmen servers or third parties (no tracking, no analytics).

Interaction with Third Parties: The tool provides shortcuts to external analysis services (e.g., Google Search Console, PageSpeed Insights, Sistrix). Only if you actively click these buttons is the URL of the current page passed to the respective service to perform the specific check. This occurs solely through a standard action of opening a new browser tab.

RoboX (Chrome Extension)

Our Chrome Extension "RoboX" is a client-side SEO analysis tool. The protection of your data is central to its design architecture:

Local Processing: All analyses (robots.txt parsing, meta tag checks, sitemap validation) are performed exclusively locally in your browser.

Local Storage & Caching: To improve performance and save your preferences (e.g., language selection, background check settings), the extension temporarily caches data like the robots.txt content and HTTP headers locally in your browser using the Chrome Storage API. This data never leaves your device and is automatically cleared or overwritten.

No Data Transmission: The extension does not transmit any personal data, browser history, or analyzed content to Wingmen servers or third parties (no tracking, no analytics).

Technical Requests: To function, the extension must perform HTTP requests to the domain you are currently visiting (e.g., to fetch the /robots.txt file or the Sitemap XML). These requests originate from your IP address directly to the target server. This is technically necessary to retrieve the required SEO data.

Permissions: The extension requests permissions to access website data solely to read the technical SEO directives (Meta Robots, X-Robots-Tag) of the page you are actively visiting.

BratX - Backlink Risk Analysis Tool (Chrome Extension)

Our Chrome Extension "Backlink Risk Analysis Tool" (BratX) is a client-side workflow aid for backlink analysis. The protection of your data is central to its design architecture:

Local Processing & Storage: All CSV data you upload, as well as the classifications, ratings, and crawl results you create, are processed and stored exclusively locally in your browser's internal storage (indexedDB/localStorage). No project data is ever uploaded to the cloud.

No Data Transmission: The extension does not transmit any personal data, uploaded lists, or analysis results to Wingmen servers or third parties (no tracking, no analytics).

Technical Interactions: To enable the analysis workflow, the extension performs direct HTTP requests from your browser to the target servers listed in your CSV. This occurs in two ways:

  • Visual Analysis: Opening the target URL in a browser tab to inject the analysis overlay.
  • Background Crawling: Fetching URL headers and metadata in the background to verify link availability (HTTP Status) and redirect paths. All requests originate directly from your IP address to the target server, just as if you were browsing the web normally.

Permissions: The extension requests permissions to access website data (<all_urls>) solely to technically validate the links (crawl) and to inject the analysis overlay on the pages you are auditing.

SerpX - On-SERP Analysis Tool (Chrome Extension)

Our Chrome Extension "SerpX" is a client-side tool for analyzing search results. Data privacy is ensured by the software architecture:

Local Processing & Storage: All search results you extract, as well as notes, reviews, and projects created by you, are processed and stored exclusively locally within your browser's internal storage (localStorage). No project data is sent to Wingmen servers.

API Usage (Optional): The extension transmits data (URLs) to third parties only if you actively use external analysis features (such as Sistrix or Google PageSpeed Insights) and provide your own API keys. These requests are made directly from your browser to the respective providers' API endpoints.

Technical Interactions: To enable on-page analysis, the extension opens target URLs in browser tabs and injects an overlay for notes. These requests are made from your IP address directly to the target website.

Permissions: The extension requests access rights to website data (<all_urls>) solely to extract SERP data, display the analysis overlay, and enable communication with the APIs you have configured.
